a little you and me exercise. 9:53 PM

something in university that made me happy.
made me smile.
made me laugh.

the setup for my psyc tute today was weird,
tables and chairs were arranged into a big circle.
everyone was given 15 little pieces of white paper
and a piece of colour paper for us to scribble our name down.
we were told to write down the first impression and thoughts about every single person in our class.

at the end of the exercise, we have to deliver each of them

HAND TO HAND.
my classmates were all gigling off while doing it.
actually it was pretty funny
as none of us had introduce ourself properly in class before.
since the past 4 weeks.

*the notes were all so cute and funny!

argh... Uni.

all i can hear are only lectures,
speak only about assignments,
and see only stacks of readings that i have to do before my april holiday...

furtheremore, my guts are telling me that picking up Indonesian Musical Cultures and Identities as an extra topic, getting involved with Adelaide Festival Centre committee, joining the freaking gym and the thought of being selected as the Green Step training program were all a total mistake.

haih..

HOWEVER, i'm still determine to get through this semester with flying colours
and i'm gonna take things with a positive and open mind from now onwards (man.. that's gonna be difficult).

Anyway i thought that probably blogging out pictures from my previous trip to Melbourne would cheer me up a little.
So, here are the pictures!

Intersection of Flinders and Swanston street.

Tse Han, who was super kind to keep me poor little thing for 2 days.

Dinner at TGI Fridays with

from left Kei Wan, Kelly, Michelle, me, Ruey Wen, Sue Gie and Sui Hui

my best buddie.

By the way, i've been up to no good for the past few weeks since returning from Malaysia.
i've booked a 3days 2 nights trip from Adelaide to Melbourne in a mini bus. (ngeheheh..)

Thank you for housemates. For cooking up daily lame jokes.
For knocking on my door when i was late for class.
For being there for me.

Thank you for course mates. For being as silly as me.
For making fun at each other.
For times we've spent together.

Thank you for sunshine and the scent of fresh mown grass.
For a day out. For picnics.
For the red ruby treasures hidden under the leafy green patches.
Thank you for strawberries.
For jams and mustards.

Thank you for a pot of (reachable) gold at the end of every rainbow.
Thank you for iced coffee and iced chocolate on a long hot sunny day walk.

Thank you for public transport. For buses.
For places that it brings us to.
For places that we have not laid footsteps upon.
Of all thank you for bus driver.
For following traffic legislation.
For being slow yet cautious.
Thank you for a long and save journey.

thank you for friendship.

strawberry short crust. 10:22 PM

*take care! (me)

*you too.. (mummy)

do you still remember how does the feeling of satisfaction feels like?
and when was the last time that you feel satisfied?

satisfaction to me is like eating strawberry cheesecake
when you are craving for it for as long as you can remember to the point that you are willing to kill for it.

and it's like reading the last chapter of a thriller/mystery book only to found out that the actual murderer was the one you have long suspected.

above is a short sms conversation between me and my mum before she left for her 3 months retreat this evening. and this is how i feel about the relationship between both of us up until this present moment.

*ps: mum, i'll miss talking to you for the next 3 months.

Hello from way down under.

It's me, Hazel!
The long flight on mon/tuesday from Malaysia to Melbourne and the next flight from Melbourne to Adelaide has been rather rough for me.
However, i've managed to make my way back to my house in Adelaide safely.

University have just started a few days ago yet my assignments and readings have piled up on my table top (which marks the start of my new challenge in this very new year).
Eventhough life have since been hectic and busy however i would never abandon my little nut blog heeheh... :D

love ya.
miss ya.

i'm back to this very land.

and it sort of explains why i haven't been blogging for that long.
well, maxis broadband sucks and customer services officer was given me all sorts of crappie excuses..

this is going to be a really short post
my little friend have just force me to bring this sand art (with a story behind it) with me to Australia
It's amazing that i was allowed to pass without any immigration officers scanning or checking my bag!

yeepee... none of my things were consficate.my tea leaves, herbs and my pirated cd with all the cracks for games (ehe.. it's my only entertainment here).
