Just a little quick post before i'm gone for the week.
Easter and mid-term holiday have proved to be a good break
for me.
to finally do a load of good washing,
to go to a mall and not worry about time,
to have unfamiliar people over for brunch on good friday morning
to make pizza and hot cross bun pudding with close friends for easter.
I wonder how did others spend their easter?
as usual
there's so many assignments to finish
so much readings to do
so many friends to catch up with
so many lectures missed
so many things that i would love to blog about
and so many things that i want to tell the world.
i always ponder
why 'time' is always so far ahead of us?
leaving us chasing breathlessly from behind
leaving us not even a split moment for rest.
i get really frustrated
and angry sometimes.
not with people,
not about arguements
or mistakes made.
but it is 'time' that drives me crazy.
'Inchy Winchy spider climb up the water spout,
down came the rain
and wash the spider out.'
when was the last time you sang a nursery rhyme?
and when was the last time you were laughing like a child?
the other day
when i was in chinatown with lisa and sushi,
i bought an tea leaf egg.
it reminded me of my childhood. how my dad always buy one for me everytime we see one.
it reminded me of spiders. how i used to hum to the tune of 'inchy winchy spider..' wherever i go.
it reminded me of how little things in life
can make us happy.
'So out came the sun and dried up all the rain
and inchy winchy spider went up the spout again.'
